Put the video up - now got to join the points into a mesh - turn the mesh into a continuous space polygon which will wrap all possible space to move in - and use LKOptical tracking to anchor it to the "real world" ... then we'd be slamm'n

Ro-Bot-X Chumby Re-Born !

After Ro-Bot-X's little chumby suffered a massive overdose of voltage, he's back up and running with MRL (headless)

Here he's boadcasting a very slow camera stream to my house (2500 miles away)

It's not super stable video feed, but I have some ideas on that.. also we could try some different camera's too... 

My Computer Found it's BellyButton

Yeah, it doesn't look like much... but I'm excited.  I've been meaning to do this a while, just didn't have the time.  I'll be doing a variety of tests to see how it preforms.  It has several "Match" algorithms to play with (CV_TM_CCOEFF_NORMED, CV_TM_SQDIFF, etc) - and I think there are several normalization routines.

This match algorithm seems fairly fast @ 120 ms - Haar Face Detection takes longer...

MRL + Kinect

Found a inexpensive kinect sensor on craigslist today..  Built the openkinect libraries..  fired up glview - boom ... Hey .. whataya know ... it works !    Next?  Integration with MRL, SLAM & MAAHR

MyRobotLab Plays Chess with Patrick?

This is a blog post for PM and anyone else interested.  I have been doing many updates to mrl, and have begun working on some tutorial videos.  Patrick Mccabe and I spoke a couple times regarding hooking up his great chess robot to mrl for a game engine.

Genetic Programming and Walking the Dog

I have been thinking for a long time about how to harness the power of the internet into programming robots.  I can imagine a robot here which I give some form of task.  Let's say (and this would be relevant) finding a wall socket and plugging itself in.  The task of successfully identifying a wall socket, moving the robot to a correct location, and inserting some sort of plug would seem monumental.
