Second iteration of 08Lunchbox project board

Few days ago I recieved a package from Fritzing Fab with 10 PCBs of the second iteration of my 08lunchbox project board.

It is now smaller: 50x50mm and interfacing pads are completely redesigned to allow more versatility and eliminate jumper wires for some components. Here is visual comparison:

V0.5 on the left VS V0.9 on the right.

Setting up my new lab

Hey everybody!

I have finally started setting up my new lab after moving to Canada! Wow! Went to few shops today, got myself some tools, parts, and stuff! The only problem is that my table was not delivered yet, so, here is a photo of my "Temporary refugie" robotics lab :)

Update 27-Nov-2012

Am I building a new robot???

Hello, LMR!

It's been a while since I posted here... But now I'm working on a new robot! :D Am I? This is a variation of my LadyBugBot, and on the picture below you can see early work on chassis.

Finally, dedicated robot-building corner! Hurray! :D

Hey, everybody!

I just got myself dedicated robot building place! Finally!!! Hurray!!! :D

Now, all my robot stuff is in one place :) And (the most important thing!) locked away from my 9 month old daughter:)

On this positive waive I have started working on my next robot project: WallBouncerBot. His first picture:

His chassis is complete. And I will post details soon, I hope :D

Ok, finally, my new project :)

Yes, I'm starting a new project! This is what I've got:

A funny phonendoscope cover and a piece of PVC pipe. This robot will be the first of IBS (Isotope's Baby Series). I call it series as I hope there will be more robots which I build for my baby daughter. I will be posting my progress and more photos are coming. :D

Night light transformations

Ok, I've just bought a nice sun-moon wall thingey, which I am going to transfer into my night light . More than that, I will upgrade the functionality, that is, the moon will be functioning like old night light: light up for a minute when ambient light is down the threshold. But the sun will be lighting up if hand is being waived in front of it and stay on til another wave. And I hope to finish the transformation before the year end. :)

SolderJunkie Construction

2010.03.14

Hi, I have started work on project named SolderJunkie. I want it to be a motorized solder fume extractor. He is going to use a Picaxe 28x1 as his brain, DAGU IR compound eye, few servos and CPU cooler for parts. I only started construction of mechanics, so far. Here is his first pic:

Mr. Wake [Prephase]

Hey LMR!

This is the prephase blog for Mr. Wake, my Mr. Basic V2 challenge entry.

Ok, the idea behind is:

My Mr. Wake is an alarm clock bot. The operation intended is as follows:

Docking Station for IsoBot02

Good evening, LMR! Last month or so I had some time to do little progress on my Docking station for IsoBot02. I have fixed IR beacon inside the base. Picaxe 28x1 makes it continiously emit signals.

And after hours of searching around my house, I found proper housing for IR reciever to be fixed on back of 02. Yes, he will be doing reverse parking :)

CMPS03 with Picaxe 28x1

Hi, everybody.

Couple of days ago I received my brand new CMPS03 along with some other components. And today I had time to test it. The interfacing circuit and test program was taken from http://www.robot-electronics.co.uk/htm/cmps2axe.htm .
