Fancontroller

Right, back again with an update on my idea for a kick-ass fanctroller. So far, I've been coding away and right now, I'm up to the point where the actual fan control is implemented (I've already written the LCD-commands, several input functions, a setup and a menu.) But I'm having some problems.

The mother of all fancontrollers... Hopefully

So, I'm the process of making the -in my opinion- ultimate PC fan/pump controller for use with a water cooling system.

The idea is to make a bracket which fits into a 5.25" bay and holds an LCD, some type of input (probably joystick) and an arduino, so the temperature responses are completely programmable. It should have three fan/pump channels and 3-6 (however many ADCs I have left, at least 3) temperature sensors.

Electric braking

I'm working on an RC car and was thinking about the braking. The idea is: I'm driving at full speed and need to turn. Obviously, because my car is going to break the land speed limits ( ;) ), it cannot take the turn at full speed so I'll need to slow down. Now, just releasing the throttle won't be enough, so I'll have to brake extra somehow. I was thinking about giving slight reverse throttle, so that with PWM, I can handle the braking intensity. Now I don't know what this would mean current-wise.

RC car

Ok, so I'm working on a plan to bring my little brother's little Niko RC car (you know, these models that suddenly break down for no reason at all after three charges) back to life. The plan is:

  1. Yank out old electronics (fun job, done ^^)
  2. Test steering servo and current draw of drive motor
  3. Build new electronics

Step 2 will be done by tonight but I have a few hickups on step three.

Picaxe Net Server

Hey guys,

Is there anyone here who has already used the Picaxe Net Server module? :)

What was your experience?

Thanks!

Hehe, found something funny on youtube!

Hi everyone,

Whilst roaming on youtube, I found this kick-ass vid about CtC's first atempts at programming a PicAxe microcontroller... Little contrast to what he is up to now with Walter :p

N-joy

ADC and PWM

Hi guys,

I've finally found time to test te ADC and PWM capabillities of my picaxe microcontroller :)

Sorry for my bad english, but I'm a little bit tired ;)

EDIT:

added an SRF05 ultrasound sensor for some cool FX ;)

Drive system

Hi guys!

In my everlasting search for... well, basically anything interesting on the interweb, I've come across the RD02 drive system. This is a pretty powerfull motorcontroller, packaged with 2 encoded motors.

Some random features are:

Hard disk - click of death

And there goes my  hard drive :/

Control Picaxe with computer

I've managed to control my picaxe with my computer and thus with another picaxe microcontroller (which I'll need in a project later on)...
