can i still add a laser, speaker, led?

in my robot SC-QR-1 i have allready used all 8 servo-ports.

but can i still ad a laser(to see where it looks), a speaker(for it to call hor help or showing some sound-emotions..   etc.) and some leds(like a red to show power, white/bright to help my "primary-back-mounted-not-night-vision-spy-camera")

and if yes would the servos disturb the lasers, speaker and leds?

and i was also thinking, stuff like the sharp ir sensors have ir leds in them, could i attach an led or laser to those pins??

please reply!! :D

Programming a Picaxe in Ubuntu

Well, a small comment in the shoutbox caused several guys to download Ubuntu. Good choice, I like it! Here's a walkthrough to programming a PICAXE in it.

STEP  1) Download the Linux Axepad here- http://www.rev-ed.co.uk/software/linaxepad_100.tar.gz

STEP 2)  Extract the files to a folder on your desktop called "LinAXEPad" or whatever you want to call it.

Controlling a DC Motor (Mabuchi FA-130)

Hello,

I'm trying to run a Mabuchi FA-130 (#18100) DC Motor, it uses 3V and 2.1A when stalled. However, I did some measures and when I forced the motor to stall it consumed nearly 4A, but I think this was some sort of coincidence since It has never happened again.

I'm using a circuit similar to this one posted by Simon Z in his post:

Arduino Contest: Think It – Build It – Share It!

My very first attempt at robotics

Its my version of the "start here" robot.

Its a Picaxe 28x1 Microcontroler driven 2 wheel robot that is guided by infra red sensors.

So far I have a box of wrong parts. An Assempled Picaxe 28x1 using a single 330 ohm resistor instead of the yellow chip.

The wheels were made by myself and mounted on a Tamiya Four speed double gearbox assembly.

All My photos can be seen on my website www.izars.com/robo

I will be using a GP2D12 ir sensor which is not recomended.

books with robots

where can i find robot books???suggest me some sites!!!
