This robot features the Arduino bootloader with ATmega168 microcontroller and motor control circuitry built-in.

A battery module plugs in through a stackable arduino shield compatible pinout.

The video to the left is a simple motion tracker device built around a Sparkfun Atmoic 6-DOF board.

A QT4 client was built on Ubuntu and PlayerStage allows you to communicate to a RRobot over Zigbee.

The server and client can run on a Gumstix Overo processor running at 600Mhz. 

Currently, Ubuntu supports the ARM of the Overo which is a 600Mhz TI OMAP3540 processor. (This is the same processor as the Open Pandora and the Beagle Board.)

A Gumstix stackable shield is currently being developed. See picture below.
In addition, a Compact Flash sized FPGA Xilinx Virtex4 module can be added to the robot and can communicate with the Gumstix over a serial UART. This part has a 400Mhz PowerPC Hardcore processor.

In total this stackable shield will have over 2GHz of computing power.

600 MHz ARM Cortex A8 + PowerVR SGX530 GPU + 430 MHz C64x+ DSP + ISP (Image Signal Processor) + 400MHz PowerPC + ? (400Mhz max) ? (Xilinx Microblaze Softcore processor.

Gumstix & FPGA Rampage Robot Module: This is the final revision of the top layer with notes documenting changes in the design process. This board is a collaboration between Pico Computing and Rampage Robotics. There are plenty of IO to extend to daughter shields. The Compact Flash header is designed for the Pico Computing E12 FPGA module as seen below.

Rampage Robot V4 Motor Base: This is the top and bottom layer of the motor layer. An ATmega168 is connected to a USB-to-Serial converter allowing operation with the Arduino IDE bootload feature. Two Red and Blue status LEDs indication communication between the PC and robot. A Xbee connector also allows bootloading and remote reset by a built in header.

This really doesn't fit as a component as it is a full robot. I apologize for making it seem I simply posted to advertise. I posted hastily little information last night in hopes of adding more content over the weekend. I have been a LMR browser for a while and have been developing this platform for over a year. My goal is to release all information to build your own Rampage Robot and to develop tutorials on Eagle Cad.  One example is how to modify the schematic/board files in to add features to create your own stackable shields for the robot or any arduino-based platform. My intention is not to sell but to teach what I have learned while creating a production ready robot. I am a student and hobbyist first.

Thank you very much for the clarification. We've grown rather accustomed to brand new profiles posting a product for sale as being, well, spammy feeling (lots of issues there lately).

Full robot kits are indeed at home in Components. The problem at the moment are the categorization options, or lack thereof, which is on the list of things to change (more/better/clearly defined categories). For the time being, robot kits fall into the Other category, and can be tagged with "robot". Basically you can think of "Components" as "Stuff to buy to put together a robot", which would include a robot kit. See the Caterpillar for an example.

If you're going to share "the making of", yes, that part goes in a Project page. See the Caterpillar's other page for an example*. It's also damn cool of a product designer to do that, so thanks in advance.

Regarding Eagle tutorials, another thanks in advance. They would be a handy addition to the Tips/Walkthroughs section.

 

* I know, I used the Caterpillar as an example twice. We're really proud of it around here, as it's the first LMR homemade bot to be snatched up by a manufacturer. There will be other examples soon ;)

You mean a delete button for reply posts? Projects, blogs, forum topics, all have a Delete button under the Edit tab for the owner of the post.

yeah for replies...i hate it when you hit post a bajillion times and the post pops up a million times. also, if the post was used for something, then found out it was wrong...

If this is a product that you want to sell then you should list this as a component. LMR doesn't mind you advertising as long as you follow the rules.
