Thats awesome - makes me want to call him "squeaker".  Is one antenna the transmitter and the other the reciever?  What is the flexible antenna made of? Have you done much experimination with positioning of the antenna?

What's next?

Thanks GroG Yeah, its just

Thanks GroG

Yeah, its just the srf005, I desoldered them, mounted them on the antennae with heat shrink and glue. The antenna is from one of those mic/headsets cut in half. It seems to work pretty well, though I need to have them angled down to see low objects like in one of the vids. I'd like to be able to move them with servos or something, but that will be later.

Treads!

I love your use of treads on the bugbot. I'm getting ready to start building my first bot in a few days, and I'm thinking of using treads on him too. One question though, the treads you recommend, I assume that there is one central gear that then turns the rest of the gears, so you only need one motor/servo per tread, correct?

Thanks!!

tracks

Hi Scheda

Yeah thats correct, I've got the motor driving the back wheels/cogs, the front wheels just rotate freely with the track. I like the one I've used in this because you get heaps of wheels and axles and extra tracks, and they are the only ones I can find in Asutralia.
