This set comes with two platforms and the clamps and pin sets (to mount your parts) for the two. This is pretty cheap and really easy to assemble. I bought one set and could complete my first RC controlled bot and i am left with another platform for my first autonomous robot.

I have had these, and I must say that they are worth the price. I'd even say "get a couple". And also of the various other stuff in the series.
Unlike LEGO this is ment to be cut, screwed and drille. Consider it more as materials than as (reusable) building blocks. Great for prototyping.
