Ok. I know the difference now. An accelerometer sense the position of the acceleration and a gyroscope is for measuring or maintaining orientation.
Which is the best accelerometer and gyroscope to use with picaxe?

This depends on your project. How many degrees shall the accelerometer sense? I have never been used a gyroscope for a robot, only for a helicopter and a rocket.

I am not trying to make a robot with an accelerometer. I just whant to try it and see how it works, it doesn't have to be sensitive. Just whant the easier one to use with picaxe:)
