Let's Make Robots!

Where can I buy small solar panels??

Hi everyone,

I've spent the last two hours or so looking for places online that sell cheap solar panels suitable for making BEAM robots, and so far I haven't found anything that's not overpriced (including shipping) or just not very good for BEAM! I live in the UK, but would happily wait a week or two for something to be shippied from anywhere, as long as shipping doesn't cost a fortune. Also maybe thinking of bulk buying around £50 worth and re-selling any I don't use if it makes things a lot cheaper.

So any suggestions?? Just to give you an idea, I would say £3 was about the most I would like to spend per solar panel :P

Thanks.

I bought a few of these in the end, not too big and seem to have high enough current and voltage specs for BEAM :) I was considering Active Robots too but are slightly too expensive for what I want, that may be where I buy my voltage triggers from though, thanks for the help!

It's been a while since i bought some solar cells. At the time the cheapest place I could find in the UK was Active-Robots.com. You should also look at RapidOnline.com.

Thanks for the comments, solarbotics looks great but the postage is a bit too expensive for me :/ Even the solar panels from hongkong on ebay are fairly expensive, but I'll probably get a few of them anyway. Thanks for the help :)
