chess bot

I was wondering if an arduino mega has enough proccesing power to make chess moves I know enough programming to do it but is it possible .

No, if you read the section about "One player" the Arduino is running a "lazy evaluation" system to make moves. I think the Arduino Mega has enough memory to play chess, you just need to write the code.

I think what you're asking here is "Is the Arduino the only computer involved in the chess playing?" It looks to me as though that is not the case from reading the perl script he attached. Chess playing programs are fairly low-resource by modern standards though, so you might be able to make something that decides which moves to make as well as controls the mechanics. Is this another extension of the robot hand project?
