Tamiya 70097 Twin Motor Gearbox kit

Vendor's Description:

This is a really nice motor and gearbox for the money. It will take about 30 minutes to put together, and you can choose to build either the high speed 58:1 gear ratio version or the high torque 203:1 gear ratio version. The motors are small Tamiya toy motors, made to run at around 3V. You probably wouldn't kill them running at 4.5 volts...at least very quickly. There are some neat test results running the motors from this kit at different voltages. Based on the results, they really should be run at 3V and not too much higher. See the test here: http://www.pololu.com/docs/0J11/1 I have a build video of the kit here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjHtcusjbsE Here is Clusterbot, which uses the Tamiya twin motor gearbox: http://letsmakerobots.com/node/30832
