Let's Make Robots!

Robot dog

Walks around

Its been a long time that I wanted a dog but I couldn't get one, so I built one instead. This is just a prototype, so it is nothing now, but I'm still looking for a better chasis. I just started to build walking robots, so I'm now trying to program it. Here is the code to the older version of the robot (without knees) that will make it sort of move forward:

#include <Servo.h>

Servo servoL1;

Servo servoL2;

Servo servoR1;

Servo servoR2;

void setup()

{

  servoL1.attach(4);

  servoL2.attach(2);

  servoR1.attach(5);

  servoR2.attach(3);

}

void loop()

{

  servoL1.writeMicroseconds(1600);

  servoL2.writeMicroseconds(1700);

  servoR1.writeMicroseconds(1700);

  servoR2.writeMicroseconds(1800);

  delay(1000);

  servoL1.writeMicroseconds(1300);

  servoL2.writeMicroseconds(1200);

  servoR1.writeMicroseconds(1200);

  servoR2.writeMicroseconds(1300);

  delay(1000);

}

Sympa le chien, bonne chance pour la programmation.

Nice dog, good luck for programming.

Merci, ça ne va pas être facile!

Fantastic start!

I was going to put the images in the text put i didn't know how. Also, I cant really add videos yet because I didn't program it yet.

There is a very good tutorial on posting images here. Created by the honourable Ignoblegnome.

Nice approach.

But for us it's not much to see. Tip: embed the pictures in your text content, so we don't need to open them separately.

I also agree with targetdg15, please show us more about the project.

I love the look of your dog! One suggestion, a slight bend in the "knee" area might provide a bit more stability, but experiment and see what works for you.

Could you include a little more about it? Maybe your future vision for it? More pics etc?
