Spamming and other things.

About the spam issue.

1. Signatures are just dumb! There is no need for them even for /lolgeek. You can see my freaking name in the post. This should just be removed.

2. If you wanna talk spam and ADVERTISING just look in the components section of this site. one store has 95% of it. Which is fine with me but there is no addition data about these components. Some helpful "this is possible applications for this component" would be nice.

3. If you have an issue with someone take the 2 seconds out of your browsing on here to let them know in a polite manner.

 

PS. I dont take anything serious or personal so its all gravy!

I thought we were loosing a valued member of LMR and lashed out. But then again that is just me... lol

so get used to it! :P

 

and I know OddBot never takes me seriously. I hope no one else does either. :D

I don't want anybody to leave the site, but we all (myself included) need to follow the guidlines of the site. As Rik pointed out, I should not have mentioned names but it was late and I was simply stating a point of view. I had not said anything earlier because a comment to that effect had already been made. From now on I'll try and be more tactful.

Just at the situation. Lots of other people thought the same thing and didnt tell him. He had to read it from a post which can kinda suck. :P

I think we would all be better off having full open communication. Which for the most part we do.

I have an issue with OMFG. Specially as the title of an anti-spam post. It's about as useful a blog title as "Help me - I'm new."

How about you edit it with something like "Spam and Signatures - Discuss"?

1) I would be a fan of removing the signatures facility, but I'm not sure I would have phrased it like that.

2) If you rephrased your topic on 95% of the components, I actually think there might be a worthwhile message hidden in there.

3) I don't like the way you started this topic it's a bit inflammatory... (I had difficulty finding something which only took 2 seconds to type!)

Would you consider editing your blog to make it a bit more fitting for the community?
