Nice!

At what distance can your LDRs array pick up a flame - is it more than a meter......

(i am looking for a positional flame detector for my latest project "Puff the Magic......").

thanks

um, is it a question? the answer is yes, but depends on environment parameters like flame brightnes and background brightnes..

Following your Tubed LDR system ..... I just made a 2 tube version with simple LDRs and it can detect a small candle flame easy 1.5 meters and at a pinch 2 meters - i am using a servo as scanning devise so only need two.

This is enough for my latest bot.

I did find that you have to block off all stray light - even the back of the LDR is sensitive to light.

the back of LDR are EXTREMELY sensitive to light , you have to seal the back of the sensors perfectly with black stuff...

or you get false readings
