Ahhh the infamous "Measure-thingy". Always need one of those even a 5 dollar one will save you hundreds in components in the long run. That was one of the first things I bought in college, cost me 150 bucks, but has probably saved me twice as much, not to mention my life a few times. Remember 120/240v is BAD, i keep forgeting.

Hey, you found the secret message :D

lol yes I almost left it in the battery compartment cause I thought it was insulation ...

Thanks Frits ! I have used this sooo much in the last few days, and the resistors are coming in handy too :)

congrats  ;)
You now have one less excuse for blue smoke, congratulations.
Many times I have let the magical blue smoke out of components ... and I am sure that I will many more times to come.  lol
Gratz... :D
Woohoo! Gratz :D
I felt a disturbance in the force. As if thousands of LEDs screamed out in joy all at once. A good multimeter will pay for itself quickly. A FREE multimeter will pay for itself in seconds.
that is soo true !
