4 CHIP BOARD BY R4 SYSTEMS INC. PICAXE

I BOUGHT A 4 CHIP BOARD MADE BY R4 SYSTEMS INC.  FOR PROGRAMMING AND TESTING PICAXE CHIPS.  SEEMS TO BE A GREAT BOARD, HOWEVER THE DOCUMENTATION ISN'T SO GOOD.  DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO OBTAIN THE SCHEMATIC ONLINE FOR THIS BOARD.  THE HARD COPY DOCUMENTATION SUGGESTS THAT I SHOULD OF RECIEVED A CD WITH THE BOARD WITH THE SCHEMATIC ON IT.  I WENT TO R4 SYSTEMS WEBSITE AND DOWNLOADED THE DEMO SOFTWARE WHICH INCLUDED MANY SAMPLES BUT NOTHING ON THE 4 CHIP BOARD.

I have the same board and, pardon my French, R4 systems suck hairy balls. You won't get the schematics, period. I think everything on the board is self-explainatory, assuming you did get the paperwork that had info on all the jumpers etc. The one thing I can say is the I/0's are reversed -- 7 is on the left and 0 on the right. If you have not soldered it yet, I would also suggest to only add what you need when you need it. It seems the board has more value as parts, ie you can only run one picaxe at a time, so save the other IC sockets for another project -same with the LED's, you really don't need them to come on with every output. That's all I know, and knowing is half the battle.

--No caps needed by the way, we can hear you!

Hey thanks for the fast response.   I agree dude.  And French is fine.  Grin.  I think they suck smooth ones too as far as documentation goes. Also I was missing a fair ammount of connectors from the kit.  Good thing for junk boxes.     And yes at least the outputs to the leds are reversed.  Also don't like the way the 4 momentary switches are hooked up.  Most of the stuff seems  self explanitory.  And I think the board will serve most of my purposes.   But what are the M14 input and outputs?  What is the function of S13? The rest of the straps (jumpers) are explained.   What is J11 for?  Wish they provided dc out on the board too.  Much of the schematic in the manuals is unreadable.  Simply printed too small.  Sorry about the caps.  Was working on some other stuff at the same time and just forgot to drop them.

hey thanks for the response.

I emailed r4 systems and got a response from them,  they sent me the schematic file,

If anyone needs it let me know.
