I have a 4 gig SD card in it that already had Angstrom installed on it. I picked that up at http://specialcomp.com/beagleboard. I am pretty happy with it so far. I am adding the touch screen to it, then rather than using a keyboard and mouse I will use the touch screen so I can have the USB ports for something else. I just found a case that I feel I can fit eevrything into it and have the touch screen on it.

What about board features? I/O, USB, etc. Are you happy with it? Does it support large capacity flash cards? How did you load the OS?

Sorry for so many questions.

 Thanks!

Yeah I have mine and its running Angstrom. I am slowly finding and ordering the parts I need for my project. I just got a touch screen for it and some other parts.

Anyone here have the Beagle Board yet? Arduinofun, you?

I'd love to hear some highlevel reviews of the board.

Pretty cool post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I've really liked reading your posts. In any case I'll be subscribing to your blog and I hope you post again soon!

Just installed the latest Ubuntu on my laptop. Freaking Awesome. Not sure why I have been on Windows this long after 5 minutes on Ubuntu. Wow.

Just got back from Lowes. They had a 8x10 piece Lexan for $2.98 so I picked that up. I will use it initially prototype my idea, but will need to find something a lot thicker for my idea to be better. I will post the CAD files later when I finish them. I am kind of excited for this project to see if it works out.

Found a local plastics place also, so I will have to stop in there and see if they have a large enough scrap piece that I could use and get for cheap.

have you used SmallParts.com before? They have tons of great materials, incuding plexi, pvc, epvc, etc.

I was looking at stuff online, Lexan looks nice for what I want to do. Problem is I cant find anything in the size of 8.5" x 11" . Everything is in huge industrial sheets that cost a lot.

I need to build a CNC machine. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-a-Three-Axis-CNC-Machine-Cheaply-and-/
