Possibilities
I will try to talk number one child into assisting me with that particular experiment. I have a microwave oven in the garage for that type of thing. I don't know what state it's in after the time I tried to use it to mix emulsion paint, though.

Tossing a CD in the
Tossing a CD in the microwave for a few seconds is a great way to destroy data on them! I have done that before shredding them to ensure no data escapes unharmed. ;)
