Just Beginning..

First post here, but I just wanted to share what I'm doing. 

My history: casual programmer since 20 (basic back then, COBOL, JCL, then some VB5/6 and DOS scripting, InstallShield, WIL and some C), IT manager and programmer back in the mid-late 90's. Just getting back into programming. One thing I've never been is an engineer. Though I was an aircraft mechanic in the AF, electricity is all new to me (beyond sticking a plug in a wall). I look to upgrade my knowledge there. That's why I turned to Makeblock for my first robots.

Sound from audio jack, single dial can get super loud. The previous speakers were muffled as well, so having them at floor level helps a great deal. Battery power now goes a long way.

Exosuit power options

Hey all
I am currently working on an exoskeleton and I am still deciding what type of actuation to use (I have already built a frame for my arm) the type of actuators I am considering are either air muscles, linear actuators (homemade) or another type of electric actuator that you guys suggest. What are you guys thoughts on this? The type of power system will depend on what actuator I end up using.

Alliance of Droids - Companion Robot - Help needed!

Hello everyone. Just so everyone knows, I am an absolute beginner when it comes to electronics and that sort of stuff. I built my own R2-D2, but it wasn't motorized.

I want to build a companion robot for the Alliance of Droids - my charity. I was planning to use some Arduino's for the project, as well as a controller system.

I want to know the estimated cost, the parts I would need, and some more information.
