LMR SWAG

Apparently there exists a sum of (200$) to spend on producing LMR swag. So let us discuss and decide what to produce.

Lunar Rover

Hi all,

Just want to share some videos of a moon rover study I am doing for the Google Lunar X Prize. No time now to submit a robot project entry, the rover is quite complex, maybe later. I'll add videos here as they come along. Thanks for watching.

Steppers found :) Trying to decide driver

I wandered past an old Brother MFC 9700 in the corridor and grabbed it.  Found two stepper motors, one from the Auto-document feeder and one that was moving the optical scanner.

ADF motor: Mitsumi M42SP-6NPK.  I figure this little guy at 41.4 mN/m

Scanner motor: Shinano Kenshi STP-42D009. Wrote what I figured out about this in this older thread. Not totally sure but something like 200 mN/m or 30 ish oz-in.  makes sense as it is larger/heavier.

I've been asked how to cut acrylic with a hot wire cutter - I made my own and there are a few plans for how to do this on instructables etc. This was my take on the idea which I find works OK for me... - see the file attached

Botboarduino drivers

Ok guys it's been a while since I've been on I'm glad everything is picking back up.

I recently had to wipe my computer after getting a virus. Which means I lost all my drivers and code and etc. I managed to get arduino up and running but my botboarduino needs drivers to work. I'm kinda freaked out about catching another virus and I can't seem to find the correct drivers for ft232 uart. I tried one place but it keeps asking me for a password to open it. And when I point the device manager it refuses to see the zip file.

My artificial neuron approach

February 12, 2015

A single artificial neuron can represent some simple Boolean functions like OR, AND or NAND and some like XOR not, because a single artificial neuron can only learn linearly separable mappings.

Example. Perceptron for the AND function:
