Hobbyduino Mini Bootloader ISP Shield

In a previous post I presented a revised version of my Minimalist Arduino Clone called the Hobbyduino Mini V3.0. Here a picture for reference.

Now, I would like to present a bootloader ISP shield that can be used to burn the Arduino bootloader onto blank ATMega328 or ATMega168 chips.  Here are a few pictures of what it looks like.

Revised Hobbyduino Mini (Minimalist Arduino Clone)

A little while ago ignoblegnome (IG) did a review for me on my version of a minimalist Arduino clone designed to be used for prototyping and finished projects. The board design allows the Hobbyduino Mini to be used on a breadboard by soldering pin headers to the I/O sockets or in a finished project by attaching wires. IG also passed along some great suggestions for future versions. I took the suggestions he made and modified the original design. Below is the 3rd revision of the Hobbyduino Mini.

cr4cX H-Bridge

The cr4's H-Bridge is builded with MOSFET and BJT transistors and specialized low-side driver IC.

In my tests the bridge has worked at 32KHz PWM frequency with virtually no heat generated.

Two of these (one for each motor) are used in cr4.

The bridge prevents the shoot through conditions and allow the following operating modes:

  • pwm cw rotation
  • pwm ccw rotation
  • pwm brake
  • brake
  • coast

Maximum supply voltage is around 18V and maximum current through the motors is limited by the IRF9540 MOSFET caracteristics.

Alliance of Droids - Companion Robot - Help needed!

Hello everyone. Just so everyone knows, I am an absolute beginner when it comes to electronics and that sort of stuff. I built my own R2-D2, but it wasn't motorized.

I want to build a companion robot for the Alliance of Droids - my charity. I was planning to use some Arduino's for the project, as well as a controller system.

I want to know the estimated cost, the parts I would need, and some more information.
