LCD display for Arduino how hard can it be ?

Yeah so i thought i would have a play with an LCD display.

How hard can it be I foolishly thought.

in my ignorance I assumed they were all pretty much the same and spoke the same language.

My problem came when I wanted to talk with it on the UNO.

All the libraries are different.

Not being a good programer I tend to womble a bit of code from here and there,

and go off and do the fun stuff of building it,

and eventually get it to do what I want.

This becomes a bit of problem when the sketches are

made for different hardware.

Trinity robot chassis upgrade!!!

Dear: LMR

Just to let you know I have recently built a new chassis for my trinity firefighting robot. The purpose of me building a new chassis was that the old chassis was too diffucult to use and debug. FIrst of all it was a self ballancer robot which made it diffucult to control. Second of all it was so tiny it was diffucult to debug the wiring. Any opinions on the new chassis? Thank you.

Anyone know about machine learning on Arduino?

I saw this code about Neural net on an Arduino here: http://robotics.hobbizine.com/arduinoann.html

and would like to know how I could apply it to my latest robot DuckBot so that it could figure out how get back on it's feet

on it's own instead of me having to code explcitely to do that. I have one sensor that currently says if angle of sensor indicates < 145 degrees then robot has fallen. It uses 3 servos to get back up on its feet.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Quadruped Sneak Peak!

In the Grapes of Wrath, there was a turtle that had a lot of symbolism, and in English class, you can basically do anything for the final project. So I thought, what the heck, I'll just play my strengths! Below is a rough CAD using 3d-printed parts and MG996R servos. Electronics are not really shown, shell is not missing (like there's a CAD of a salad bowl out there), and the head has been remodified to have a more "turtle" look. Photos of the final product coming soon.
