Comunication between two MCUs

Hi all, this is the question: which is the fastest method to exchange informations between two 8-bit mcus?

I'm developing a tacho unit for a friend's go-kart. As long as I'm planning to use multiplexed 7-segment displays, I want to dedicate one micro to the multiplexing job and the other one will perform measurements and other operations ( the tacho is only a part of the things I want put on the kart )... maybe I'll use two PIC16f877a.

To have all finally working, I nedd them to comunicate, with the one telling the speed to the other. My ideas were:

how to charge my robot's NiMH battery 24H/24

I hope your attention because I'd like your advice on how to load it !

Let's me explain:

I have a charger with delta peak A2Pro that loading my battery "when robot off . " http://www.net-loisi...peak-p1441.html

My goal is to let my robot over 24h/24 in order to use it when I want . "I did a test to determine the robot turned on autonomy without running , it is 8H . so if I go one week it is off !!!!"

LCD and picaxe

I am just beginning to research lcd boards. I have been told to get the 16 x 2 Alphanumeric LCD Module,  would this work, (sorry for font) http://www.robotshop.com/parallax-2x16-parallel-lcd.html

Reading 5 analog sensors, with one ADC pin, would this circuit work?

well, as usually I have all ADC pins used up on my arduino, 2 of them are used by i2c, and the other 4 are used, 3 for line follower, and one for sharp sensor at the front.

 

I need more proximity sensors, and a new line follower with 5 qrd1114 instead of 3, for maze solving.

Burning the Arduino Bootloader with your Arduino as the ISP programmer

I noticed that the Arduino 0018 software included the option of using an existing Arduino as a programmer for burning the bootloader onto blank ATmega chips.Below is my Arduino Nano configured as per the instructions.
