An amazing list with prices for samples of the most amazing materials you can play around with. Enormous range. Some of the prices are a bit ridiculous and some items look suspiciously like a ripoff but if you sort the wheat from the chaff there are some interesting things here.

Largely arduino based, I have seen some nice cheap parts on this site - I am yet to order anything though!

They have a lot of stuff.  A lot of good tools, prototyping stuff, and power supplies for bench testing things before they go on your robot.

These guys have a lot of really useful items.  Too much stuff to list here.  A lot of it is surplus, so it's pretty cheap.

UK Readers of EPE get PicKit 2 Express for £10, when they buy the Novermber or December issue. One per household. Buy it online here. This is a brilliant PIC programmer an in-circuit debugger and it comes with a free development PCB.

Design polymer bodyparts in 3D and get them send home.

4D Model Shop in London (near Aldgate if visiting).  Lots of architectural model bilding supplies, very suitable for robot building.  I picked up some sheets of HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene), but there were other types of plastic, metal, wood, etc.  I also saq hemispheres for castors and robot domes - I think that's defined my next bot for me :-)

Good place for pre built components, some stuff is priced pretty high since its usually for battle bots
