Three 08M2s and a Pi?

Hello! I'm a complete Picaxe n00b, but I have read quite a bit online, so hopefully my ideas here are not entirely inane.

I have been playing around with a Raspberry Pi as the brain for a small two-wheeled differential drive robot. It's very simple, but it more or less works.

Picaxe 08m2 Hotness / Solved - Chip was dead.

I want to make a ring of light for my robot but when i try to program or just give power to the picaxe 08m2 chip it get's hot, really really hot.

- I just got the picaxe 08 proto board http://www.picaxe.com/Hardware/Project-Boards/PICAXE-08-Proto-Board/

Maus was the robot I originally built on this platform with an Arduino and Microphone or IR.  Then today Ossipee posted the code for his Mini-Skybot and I realized … Read more

Max servo size for picaxe 08m2

Hello i would like to build my first robot using the picaxe 08m2. The servos i have are: two mg945 servos stall torque is 12kgcm (hooked up in parrallel as they will lift the arm up together.) 0ne unbranded servo with the same torque as the above servos for the gripper. The other two are 9g servos that will be used for activating switches.

Picaxe M2 series 'multitasking'.

The M2 Picaxe series has multitasking (time slicing) to allow up to 4 tasks to run simultaneously which the manual says is to make monitoring switches and flashing LEDs etc, easier to program.  I was just wondering has anyone explored how far you can take the multiple tasks idea.  Has anyone, for example, tried controlling a servo, monitoring switches and varying PWM on a motor?

I've got a feeling that everything will get a bit glitchy, but perfectly happy to be proved wrong.

Funny behaviour in a picaxe...

Hi all, I hope people can help with this, cos I'm baffled.

I've been using a picaxe 08M2 (the new one) to control a stepper motor, which works fine until I want to use the free input to trigger the motor.

When I do that no input affects what the chip is doing

I took it back to the program, nothing odd there, so I tried using a pushbutton switch to turn an LED on and off.

If I use this program:

main:

if pinC.3 = 1 then
