Is this possible with this screen.

Okay, after seeing CTC's post (http://letsmakerobots.com/node/27139) which was great, I became interested with the screen he used.(http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10090)  So after a little thinking for what I could use it for,  I decided that I would make it record video from a small camra and show it back on the screen when I signal it to do so.  After that I researched that idea and it looked easy enough, so what I am asking is "Is that possible to do?"

Using an RF receiver/transceiver pair along with a wireless camera to process the images and send commands to a mobile robot

I would like to create a setup I will be using for a lot of my upcoming robots. A small wireless camera that will be ultimately outputting through USB to my computer. The computer processes the video and sends commands to the robot via RF. I guess the serial connection will be no more than 1900 bds. How can I coordinate RF and image-processing in a single program for autonomous navigation/other tasks (I can almost hear GroG saying "MyRobotLab" ;)?

Wireless camera advice

I would like to implement a camera in my upcoming robots and I was wondering what is the best small camera on the market. For now, I think this one is good enough, but it still seems a tiny bit too big: http://www.robotshop.com/ca/draganfly-eyecam-video-system.html. Is this camera worth the money (I`ll probably use it if it is) or are there better/smaller ones?

Remote 3 Axis Camera Head with motion control

I`ve been wanting to build a mid size remote controlled camera head that has 3 axis and can be computer controlled and repeat its motion. I have a few RC helicopters that we build very basic 2 axis heads on, that work with servos and have a gyro to keep level.

The idea would be for it to rotate at about 300 degrees per second and to be able to feater in and out the motin for it to be smooth. I would also like to try to put some gyros on it, to stabilize it if it is free swinging on the back of a car or helicopter.

What cameras are available

I'm really looking to the future at a project I'm planning, but wondered what camera setups are available.

It seems that a lot of people use the Blackfin(?), but I wondered what alternatives there are. Lots of mentions about the AVRCam, but that now seems unavailable.

Alternatively, a couple of years ago, I upgraded my security cameras, and have a couple of wireless cameras that I can "hack". Is that feasible?

High Speed Photography Help!

Hello everyone!

this is my first post so im pretty excited haha.

i want to know how to create something so i can shoot high speed photography.

an example of what i would like to do is of a water droplet hitting a bowl of water and snapping a picture when the "crown" (part of the water which gets drawn up from the result of disrupting the water bowl".

i was thinking about a laser activated "flash" which fires the flash of the camera after the beam is broken, but it should have a delay so i can fine tune it and get the perfect image.

it moves a webcam up and down and right and left.

Computer Controlled RC Car with Wireless Camera

Hi

I wanna a project for my studies...

here is what i would like to make..

1. A RC Car that is controlled via computer and not by the its remote. i wanna create a application that controls the car and also displays real time video.

2. I wanna use zigbee (XBEE pro) for transmitting and receving commands and controls.

3. Wanna use mobile phone (wifi) camera for video transmission.

now i wanna know How can make this ???

1. which microcontroller should i use ????

2. which software should i use to make the compuetr app.

Help...Need to build wireless robot

hi all. I'm a beginner.

i need to build a robot driving to wheels.

controlled wirelessly through a laptop

and need to have atleast 4 channels

transmit video from 2 cameras to the laptop(range 100m)

presently i'm using arduino to control the robot.

please suggest me what i can use to make those above possible.

i lesser range will do.

General help Needed - Desiging next robot

Hi. I am making a robot that runs like a car but has a camera on it and runs over wifi. Sort of an city explorer bot. Does anyone have any suggestions on the parts I need (based on my framework), or any other parts? Or any other recommendations whatsoever? any help isgreatly apprieciated.

Routerbot (Without hacking the router)

I am intending to build a routerbot. This is my design idea. This is my first major robot so please comment and suggest if even the slightest urge arises.

I will call the robot flat friday.

picaxe as a turret controller?

i just finished a turrent with 2 DOF =180 degree right/left and 180 degree up/down.

now..   i would like to have a camera on it(and other stuff like roborealm) to make it autonomus and motion detecting! :D

and right now i have a spare picaxe, but would that ever work with a camera?? or even roborealm for that matter?

and if not(my guess..) then please help me chose a good controller to work with my turret(or sentry?)!

please comment!  :D

Good deal on rc tank w/built in video cam.

Hey all.

currently amazon has a damn good deal on an rc tank with built in video camera. On the amazon search, look up spy gear. you should find the atv 360 for 51 bux(as of apirl 19th). This thing usually goes for about 130 so imo it's a damn good deal.

I bought the the spy video car($50 as well) a while back and managaged to pull the camera gear off. The stuff is pretty cool for the price. I'm still working on the car, but figured I'd grab this tracked version as well since it was a good price.

Night vision camera

Hi, I've been thinking on building a night and day vision camera. I think its very straight forward, but I just wanted to have a look at your personal opinions before going any furtherer.

The idea is very simple: As you probably all know, digital cameras are able to "see" the visible spectrum, but also, some frequencies higher (I think), and lower. You can try this by pointing with a remote control to your camera, you will see a white light.

Video transmission

Hi everyone,

I'm quite new in all of this, but i want to build a robot able to transmit video, and possibly sound. I've got a common webcam and I want to make it wire less, but I don't know how to do it.

I would apreciate any help from you lot.

Thanks.
