Prusa

KellerRobotics and its progress

Well I've been working http://kellerrobotics.com, the website for my business KellerRobotics since August or so, and I finally have the first printer of the fleat of printers which is a RepRap Prusa Mendel i2. I ordered a new hot end and it should be here early next month. I was a little bored tonight so I downloaded Blender since its one of the few full-feature and free 3d modeling programs available and its not that bad of a learning curve, Had a pretty decent wolf head made within a half hour of downloading the program.

RepRap - Issues trying to simulate a print

Okay, so this is my first forum post on LMR so bare with me please.

Hotend and filament - What to get?

G'day all o/

Just a quick question. I at the buying of hotend stage of my Prusa i2 build and am confussed with all these filament and nozzle diameter options.

What do you think would be the best filament size? 3 or 1.75mm? What is the difference in application?

What nozzle size should I get? Something bigger or something smaller? Again, what can I expect out of either?

Protowrxs Prusa 3d Printer

So with so many LMR enthusiasts building, buying, printing, or renting 3D printers I figured I’d jump on the bandwagon and go along for the ride. I can really see the joy in being able to just print cool things off ThingiVerse much less the thought of designing some little mount, feature, cover or whatever for a robot you may be building.

Complete. I am able to extrude plastic pieces as long as I have a 3D drawing of the part.
A last minute note to direct people to the other page where I showed building the NEW hot-end for this printer. http://letsmakerobots.com/node/37011 Other than … Read more
