learning code ... the ups and downs

Thought id post this example to show what im going through in the learning and understanding prossess of coding. For the most part it is very frustrating ... i would have very limited understandig at the moment and practically new to coding have tried before but stopped as other things came up.

But have started again and finding it hard going ... but am having some success ..

Number one reason is not being able to find any site with a teaching process .... have found some great sites that show very good tutorials eg tronixstuff ...

Arduino pro mini undershield

The cheapest Arduino clone on Ebay is probably the small Arduino pro mini clone. I've bought some pro minis on Ebay for less then 3$ a piece from a Chinese seller. It's a tiny board with an ATmega328 running @ 5V. It does not have an USB/serial chip, so you need your own USB to serial converter.

Attiny 2313/4313 servo driver

Hello everyone!

Attiny85/45s are great for small projects because nearly all pins can be used to drive servos simultaneously.

However 5 servos are nice but not enough. I found out that I have bought some Attiny4313s a while ago. They 20-pin chips that can be programmed via arduino. Now I am wondering how many servos it can control. There already are different approaches:

Updated instruction manual for Mini Driver

The Mini Driver was released by DAGU some time ago. It is essentially our Magician controller in SMD format. Unfortunately the engineer who designed it does not have very good English so I was asked to re-write the manual. You can view/download the manual from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B__O096vyVYqczRjX1k5LTRkcjA/edit?usp=sharing

Suggestion arduino Motor Shield with Brakes

Hi,

I have built my first robot (ultrasonic sensor, 2 wheels, 2 dc motors) using  he following motor shield(bought from ebay)

New V3 Arduino Driver Motor Controller Shield L298N 2A 2 Motors Module

Unfortunately my robot always bumps into walls. It turned out that I am not able to apply BRAKE.

PID Tutorials for Line Following

Hey there guys. This post is outdated. Visit http://letsmakerobots.com/node/39972 for the updated tutorial.

Hello LMRians,

In this writeup, I will try to create a tutorial for tuning your robot using PID to follow a line. This tutorial won't go deep down into the details of PID and its applications but will just attempt to show how a robot can be tuned with the PID parameters to follow a line.

I'm back guys. This here was intended to draw graphs of equations, but for the sake of ease i made it to just draw, Or may be write(Provided you can control it). If … Read more

12V-30V Arduino Power Supply

So one project that I've been working on lately is a 24V Brushed Motor Controller Shield for Arduino. One of the features that the shield must implement is a power supply capable of power the Arduino with more than 15V, activates the Arduino when the input voltage is greater than 12V, and power any necessary gate driver circuitry. I finished Rev 1 of the power supply and plan to add one more revision to the power supply circuit before designing the reminding parts of the shield.

Rex - a single-board computer with a full OS that is designed for robots

Howdy! I just launched a Kickstarter campaign for my project, Rex. It's a single-board computer like the Raspberry Pi that I designed specifically for robots, so it has a more relevant form-factor and is a bit more powerful spec-wise. I'm also working on a custom linux distribution, called Alphalem OS, also designed specifically for robots. The goal is to make doing things in advanced robotics like object recognition, voice recognition, and speech synthesis simpler (Arduino-style).

Take a look if you're interested! Feedback and questions totally welcome.

Hi all!

Can you help me?

I'm trying to connect DYP-ME007 (ultrasonic) and Wild Thumper Controller.

And i can't understand how to connect it electrically. I'm talking about trig and echo pins.

Many thanks in advance.

Out of the shadows, into the unknown & some questions.

Because I couldn't find an introduction section anywhere and because this is my first post (yes I was that lurker) I'll take the liberty to introduce myself.

I'm a Dutchman, 39 years old and living in the northern part of the Netherlands. I've been fascinated by robotics since my early childhood, but I never got further than buying some toy robot. My nick, for those who wonders, is from a tag on the chest of the eighties Magnatron robot I got as a kid. Since it's written in large letters it has to be something important, but you can call me Paul as well.
