Driving a CNC machine directly from an STL file with a DAGU Spider controller

I want to drive a CNC milling machine using only an Arduino processor and an STL file. The STL format was chosen because it is very simple for me to understand and almost all 3D CAD software can export an STL file.

Where should I start with wireless robot-to-computer data transmission?

I'm working on a project where my bot collects some information while traversing a grid. I want to send the findings back to my computer wirelessly as the robot is moving. The range is not far (2-5 metres) and I am on a budget (Up to $20 but the lower the better).

The data I need to relay needs only be three sets of three single digit numbers. I could even condense it to be three 3 digit numbers or one 9 digit number I suppose.

Converting an STL file to Gcode to drive a CNC mill or lathe

As mentioned in my blog, "Multipurpose Mini Machine" DAGU wants to develop a low cost CNC machine kit. The models shown here will not be the final product, they are simply what I used for testing the quality of the components.

Part of the kit will be an Arduino compatible controller. Ok, I know, nothing new so far.

MAX7219 display help

I have an Arduino driving 6 separate MAX7219 displays. My data will display very quickly for a split second, but then disappear. Each one can be driven fine when only one is running. What is happening? More info can be provided if needed.

Fixed point runs faster and takes less program memory space. This is because when you use floating point math, sophisticated procudures are automatically linked into your program.

confused about how to drive a rc car using arduino

hi folks, I am trying to build an autonomous car by attaching my arduino uno r3  to my rc car. Please pardon me if there are certain stuff I don't understand as my electronics knowledge has long vaporised since my education days and im starting from zero again.

Bigger version of the DAGU 6wd Wild thumper

Hello i am thinking of building a bigger version of the dagu 6wd wild thumper. a big one that can tow and go over larger obstacles much like the smaller current one. The motors i have selected to use are winshield wiper motors and will be powered by either a custom build lithium polymer battery pack (putting a bunch of  3 cell 2200mah batteries in parallel) or a car battery. I would probably go for the lithium polymer as they have a greater energy density.

I know many will just be made from cardboard and wood but I decided that if I was going to spend time on this project then I wanted to make the most of it and develop a new product.
