Building Stair Climbing Robot and have power question.

I am building a stair climbing robot for a class that will carry a basket full of rubber stamps to the top of a staircase.  My robot will be loosely based off of this robot --->http://letsmakerobots.com/node/8355.  I am planning on using an Arduino Duemilanove for the microcontroller.  I am planning on using 5 dc motors to power the four wheels on the ground, and 1 continuously rotating servo to power a wheel rotating at the front of the robot which comes into contact with the stair first and projects the device upwards.

How did you cope with the Arduino Mini 5V

The Arduino Mini and a bunch of other electronics require a 5V power source. The only way I can achieve that using standart batteries (AA, AAA) would be to use a power regulator (preferrably a low-dropout power regulator which I can't find on robotshop). So how do you suggest I get my 5V? It doesn't need to work with standart batteries - as long as the solution is cheap. What other online store would be good for a low-dropout voltage regulator?

Arduino mini pro question regarding pin output voltage

If I power an Arduino Mini pro with a 6V power source through the RAW pin, will the digitalWrite(pin?, HIGH) output 6V or the traditional 5V. By the way, I have the 5V Arduino Mini pro model.

Kinda stuck again

OK I have re-writen my code and now I am having a problem where my left side motors are not being driven.I know it is not a hardware problem. I upload an older version of code with out the scanning portion and everthing works.I have included LEDS on the proto board to see if I am getting comands from my uC and right side is working but not getting anything for the left. the new code is basicly an addition to the old. I just added the servo and varibles so it can look left and right.
