Controlling servos using processing and standard firmata

I am working on a biped robot that I am running using Processing and servo firmata on an arduino uno.  This works fine and I have a decent walking gait.  I would like to include an accelerometer into the robot to give the robot more stability.  So I decided to switch over to standard firmata on the arduino so I can use the i/o.  The problem is that with the standard firmata none of the servos work eventhough the servo library is still included in the standard firmata.

[SOLVED] Processing communicating with Arduino via Bluetooth problems

I am at my wits end! Ive spent the last three or so hours trying to get this to work with no avail.

So a while back I splashed a little cash on Kickstarter. I hadn't seen or heard of any Arduino's that were as small as the Digispark and I thought it'd be … Read more

Tutorial Trolling

I've seen a few instructable-type tutorials here and there that just look too good to be true.  My favorite was someone trying to convince you that you could run your flat-screen TV by splicing a AAA battery holder into the power cable provided with it.  In any case, I came across a tutorial today (an electronic instrument complete with its own URL and Makerfaire badge) that should have been a straight-up download, upload, hook up some pins and a speaker rig and all I got was one tone, with no reaction to the Inputs.

Car alarm remote control repurposing

A while ago, I got hold of a car alarm unit and its two remote control fobs. When i hooked it up to 12V I realized that it didn’t  work, not responding to any of the commands from the two fobs even though their batteries were OK. Naturally, I opened up the unit to start harvesting parts and noticed the RF module within (the one that sticks out perpendicularly) and I figured it shouldn’t be too hard to use the module with an Arduino.

Cant find a tutorial !

Hi everyone,

Recently I came across some very good hexapods designed with 6,8 and even 12 servos.I have a duemilanove and would like to build one.

But unfortunately I have not ventured into this domain and my search for a step by step tutorial on google(on multilegged critters like hexapod) and instructables proved futile.Any Links that can help me get started or rather a complete tutorial link would be awesome. Thanks!

Rover 5 Motor Issue ?

Hello all

This is my first post in this forum and I hope you can help me. I just got a Rover 5 ( the 4 wheel edition) and the Dagu 4 channel motor controller.

Everything is connected with my Arduino Mega and I have no problems to control the motors and read the current amp value from the motors. I noticed that the motors are consuming up to 1.6 A and I think this is too much ? The Rover was not touching the ground and the default chain was mounted on the tire ?

Should I try to make the chains more loose ?

Arduino Uno + Dagu 4 channel motor controller - power issues?

I have an Uno controlling a 4 channel Dagu motor controller with encoder support. Got this a month ago. (It's the red PCB version).

Although it works, I have read that I shall not power the motors before powering the control logic.

But does that really mean that if the controller voltage dies out in the field, and there's still juice in the motor batteries, the Dagu controller will burn ?

I saw OddBot said this might be the case, at least if you powered it up in the wrong order.

Atmel RF ATmegas

Hi.

Has anyone attempted using these? I was wondering how hard it would be to use them with the arduino bootloader for my as-yet-not-started RC system project (I will get round to it soon, hopefully). The Zigduino seems to use them, and they've supplied a library to operate the in-built radio. I'm just wondering whether I'd have to be careful with PCB layout etc. to avoid interference.

i've made bristlebots, speaker tones, dc motor cars  and other stuff

BUT

when i have to program  in arduino UNO i just copy other codes from other people

cause...  I dont know how to program at all!!!! i think arduino's language is c,and i don't know  how to program

anybody knows how to program arduino

and can give me a little tutorial about key words and etcetera like setup, delay, control of dc motors sensor etc...

Faulty board?

Hello

I bought a card "Dual 15A Wild Thumper Arduino DC Motor Controller"

When I connect the battery (voltage OK) to the card the led "good battery" lights for a while and then goes off.

The "power" led is ON, the 5V output is ok, the corrent is about 40mA.

The board doesnt work.

Do I had to send the card to the seller or can I do  other controls.?

Thanks, Stefano
