Robot Servos/control board advice

Hi, I would like to do an investment and to buy some servos (10/20 units).

I don't have too much money to spend, so I'm looking for cheap servos with however enough torque to do some interesting robots (humanoid, arm, hexapod, etc).

Initially I found MG995/MG996R servos, then I found rds3115 robot servo.

The features of the rds3115 are:

Robot Size and Methods of Obstacle Avoidance

I realize that most LMRians are going to have more experience with smaller robots and that I am in the minority here, but for the few that have similar or greater experience with big boys (or relevant experiences and insights from or in related fields) I wondered if I could see if you've noticed the same trends as I have in terms of larger (greater than 25cm in any dimension) Robs and effectiveness of various kinds of near-surface detection.

So, this challenge is for anyone! From analog guys to digital guys. Only thing you should make is get leds turn on and off alternately, when you switch on and off … Read more

analog to digital converter

dose any one know how or were i can get a cheap analog digital converter?

Connecting Multiple Microcontrollers

I was wondering if it would be possibly to connect multiple microcontroller IC's by there I/O ports?

Multiple swithces to analog input?

Just had an idea. I'm planning to use a LOT of (tactile) switches on a walking robot. For instance I wanna put several under each foot. But it seems like a waste of pins to use a digital pin for each switch (or use multiplexers). So I thought I might be able to connect the switches in paralel and read several at a time from an analog input using resistors of different sizes connected in serial with each switch. Like this:

This is an electronics question that has little to do with robots. But this forum seems a good place to ask it anyway.

For an upcoming diy project, I am in need of some advice on integrated radio circuits. For my 93 yr old grandmother I hope to build a radio that can do this:
