Voltage Regulators

5V Regulators

Being stupid I can never find out how much resistor and what do i know I would need to get my 7,2V Racing pack battery to turn in to nice 5V that my other components like much better.

You could use 1M to gnd and 470K to Vin and the centre tap would give you 4.9V, but I would never dream of using a potential divider as a power supply: it's a desperate waste of power. Good way to make heat, but then so is a 7805!
