What does it do?

So it all needs to start somewhere - order has been placed for the various components just when will they arrive.

When out buying concrete, sand and shingle tho i could not believe my eyes when i spied a £10- glue gun - so it begins. Shopped around for the components and think overall I have good prices - sadly the rule of thumb seems to be find the part - damn its from an american supplier - the price I wonder from the English ? easy swap $ for £ and add about 10% and robert is your fathers brother.

Lots of Hitec and Futaba servos, with good prices, but wait, there's more!

Many mechanical linkages for using continuous rotation servos as gear motors, torque amplification gearboxes for servos, pan-tilt heads, and even a robot section.

It is teleoperated from the surface while it goes under water

Here is an ROV built for the National Underwater Robotics Challenge. Well.. Ever since I found this page (through ing.dk) I've been dying to build my first robot.

I have bough all the parts I need, and i've been trying to modify an RC toy car, but i have blown up the motor driver in it :D. I tried with the 293D, but it couldn't take the current. So right now i'm just stuck...

As said in sociatyofrobots.com, designing is the most important stage of robot building. I spent no time designing Turpis, and that's most likely why it turned out so bad. However, I'm an awful artist, and I need to find a more efficient way to plan. I've tried my hand at Sketchup, and it is uncooperative with my computers. Are there any easy-to-use free software out there?

What does it do?

Navigate around objects via infrared

After far to much time spent gathering parts, I put together my bot. I skipped using a servo for the moment so it turns on its tracks to measure distance left and right. After the time spent putting it together, and coding it, it felt amazing to see it navigating the kitchen floor. I'll have a video up soon.

Built on a picaxe 28x1 micro controller and programmed in BASIC ( i think?!)

I just finnished my SAT test (I am home schooled so that means no more school untill september!! :),

and I just got a summer job, this week is so awesome !!!!! :P

Hi, i am new here and this is my first robot.

Inspired by the awesome tutorial by FritsL.
Of course, i made my own modifications. I wanted the tread-look to have it crawl around in my livingroom.
I salvaged parts from my old Computer Chassi and some parts from my broken 19" LCD Screen.
