hello,

 

im new here and i am still very young (17) and i would like to learn how to build robots so i may get introduced in this category.

is there any way of education (i preffer in holland) to learn all about robots? and if there is (even if there isn't) i would like to know wich board you recommand to use ALSO for future use.. like the professionals do! picaxe andruino or maybe somthing else

i do know programming and its C++ is not too hard for ME xD

Universal recharge, navigation and mapping system

WARNING! this blog is just my thoughts on the subject and may be prone to rambling, monologs and contradictions.

I want to develop a universal navigation system for my robots. By universal I mean that the same code should work on almost any robot with only minor modification to allow for I/O pins used and number / type of sensors. This code is being written for the Arduino but I will document the code well enough that it can be easily adapted for other processors.

nanoDuino, sumo and soccer bots

Hi Everyone,

I'm starting with some new projects.

The first one is nanoDuino, an ultrasmall arduino, based on patrickmaccabe's one. This one has all the input and output's pins broken out and the sockets for FTDI and ICSP cables. It is 18,5x20,5 mm:

Well the deadline is up. Robot Grrl and I have both entered the "Make a robot with personality" contest on Make magazine. I think there is another entry as well but I'm not sure if he's from LMR.

Jax gave it his best but Murphy kicked him in the pants.

The judging is done by the staff of MAKE magazine. Check the robots out and see what you think.

Picaxe 28 circiut board robot

I am trying to make the robot in the start here section.  The motors work when I hold the wires to batteries but when I try to attach them to the board they don't work.  I have followed the instructions carefully and soldered the wires to the pins (as I don't have connecters).  I have tried several times and am still stuck.  This robot is for a school project and has to be ready in two days.  I really don't know what to do can anyone help?

Possible AGV

So I came across patrick's agv (http://letsmakerobots.com/node/18922) and his tutorial (http://letsmakerobots.com/node/19554.) and I remembered that I have a nice rc car. Once I learn more about robotics, I plan to build an Automated guided vehicel with the same compass and gps. Is this a hard build?

Computer On Wheels Controller

Chess Engine Update 4/3/11

Well by luck I happened to find some one elses chess robot in one of the instructables contest. He was using Apple script to communicate with a terminal chess engine. That is about as much as I read into his project when I was like "Apple script?"

BomBot Nomadio GC205 R/C package

Our EOD technicians have received 6 BomBots from the Air Force. These units were designed to remotely detonate roadside bombs, (EOD). Four are new and 2 are used, but none have the transmitter, only the receiver. The transmitter is a bi-directional 5-channel, spread spectrum 2.4Ghz unit made by Nomadio, model GC205. I found the 15-page owner's manual for the R/C but it is woefully lacking in technical information.
