Low RPM Motor With High Torque Needed

I need a motor that has a lot of torque but the shaft looks like this:

I CANT FIND ONE!!  I need it to be cheap though... If anyone knows anything at all, please let me know.  Thanks!

P.S. Even if I have to slightly modify the motor, that's ok for me too!

Im envisaging on building my first robot, so would greatly appreciate any advice.

About me > I've some basic programming skills through GW-Basic and QuickBASIC which i learnt nearly 10yrs back. I suck at C programming, and am not well versed with microcontrollers/electronics, although im sure i can learn (maybe not C!!). Mechanically, im sure i can conjure up something fairly decent, if not pathetic!

Dual 18F4620 board with supporting 18F2525 for display

Right now I am working on my master-slave-slave board that will suit my needs for a long time. It has a master 4620, that communicates to another 4620 for processor assistance.

 4620 MASTER: Spaces for 5 servos, rs232, I2C, sn754410 motor controller, 8 ADC channels, 2x5 header so it is expandable into another board.

4620 SLAVE: Setting switches, proximity IR sensors (8 for complete sensing), speaker, encoders (rear and front for a car drive bot, left and right for 2 wheel operation), 38khz IR led driver, bumper switches and spaces for 6 servos I2C.

Robotic Crane using PIC16f or 8051

hey! i'm planning to make a robotic crane.and i reallly need help.

the basic idea is to build a robot WITH PIC16F877A (OR 8051) which carries magnetic loads(it has other auxilliary functions as well)

what is wrong?! ..and what can i do!?

okay..         so i just finished my new robot(8 servo quadropod)and started makeing a test program.   when the test program was done i downloaded it to the picaxe and it worked! then i started to try out use the srf05 to see if it was plugged in the right way! so i made another program and tryed it and that worked too!

My first robot

This is a work in progress I shall be embarking on with a friend of mine. As first robot we are doing the robot from Fritsl's tutorial on 'your first robot' Yes, the picture at the moment is just the parts, unpacked as this is the stat of the robot presently, haha.

The BIG robo-project

The story so far:

I am currently studying engineering at Alevel (edexell advanced engineering diploma) im coming to the end of the first year on this course which, so far has been great. next year I have to complete an "extended project". we will spend 5 hours a week for the entire year doing this, it will be largely funded buy my schooland I will also have complete acsess to Sheffield hallam university's workshop and expertise.

GRemote

This is my first attempt to make a custom remote controller, and also my first customized Arduino.
After seeing this post made by ObbBot I wanted to try to make one myself.

I figured that if I purchase one remote controller it would be cheaper than buying two of these and paying shipment to Portugal.

So, ripping the guts from a game remote controller I get two joysticks, a couple of buttons, two nice motors and one small lcd.
