servo for mini hexapod

Hello,

I want to build a mini hexapod and i would like a suggestion from you for a cheap servomachine (de kserw an to grafw kala auto) to use, which will be sufficient for this project.. I have found these here on my own:

Big company robots making it look easy?

G'day LMR (Im Australian what did you expect? :))

I am new to this site and Im finding my time here enjoyable and uplifting. I have been intersted in electronics for as long as I can remember and four months ago began making things with an Arduino Uno, be it small gadjets or robots.

Adventures In Robots: Robot #2 Bert the Bling Bot

Now that robot #1 is almost complete, (Ajax Harbinger of the Robot Apocalypse, robot entry coming soon), I have begun to plan out robot #2.

Robot #2 will be named "Bert the Bling Bot".  The goal of course is for Bert to be bigger and better than robot #1.  To that end Bert has the following requirements/goals.

How to contol servo speed from serial

Hello all

I have  renbotics ServoShield and I have made a code on arduino where from serialport I can send commads to servos and it happens with that way... S01P1200,S14P2300etc..I mean that  Servo 1 to 1200 posion and servo 14 to 2300 posion

Ideas needed for a quiet, high quality, small form factor chassis, wheels, and motors.

I'm looking for a source of a small (think deck of cards size) chassis for a robot.  I'm not interested in two wheel or cheap robots, I'd like a decent aluminum or plexi chassis with some higher quality motors and wheels.  Anyone have an idea or recommendation?

The Social drink Machine

Well, the Romanians at Robofun have built a drink mixing robot. It's not looking like the famous Bar2D2, it's looking more like a 2 axis CNC machine, but it has it's share of coolness. To order a drink, you scan the bar code with your smart phone, get to the site and choose a drink. Then wait for a bar code to be displayed on your phone, place a glass in the machine and show the bar code to the machine's webcam.

Wavefront Algorithm Mapping

Hi, LMRians. I've been reading up on this Wavefront Algorithm Navigation and I understand bits and pieces of it, but not everything. I'm trying to learn up on it so I can use it in my next robot : Project 4L-FRED (Alfred), a butler robot. The robot is suppose to navigate around the house from the dining area to the living room and serve drinks to guests. The robot will have pre-recorded messages like greetings and stuff like asking what drinks the guest would prefer.

Chickenparmi's Blog

Hello again everyone, my name is chickenparmi.

As suggested by ChuckCrunch I am making this blog post to give you a brief explanation of my past experience/knowledge in robotics and all the things I have made. I will post all my old stuff in this blog and stuff that I dont think to be worthy of a robot post as to avoid post spam.

Driving a CNC machine directly from an STL file with a DAGU Spider controller

I want to drive a CNC milling machine using only an Arduino processor and an STL file. The STL format was chosen because it is very simple for me to understand and almost all 3D CAD software can export an STL file.

In my forum post here: http://letsmakerobots.com/node/34958 the feedback I go was basically.

Spider controller

The DAGU Red back Spider controller is an Arduino Mega (1280) compatible controller that is especially designed for driving a large number of servos. All 70 I/O pins are terminated in servo compatible 3pin male headers as well as the standard female header and the power supply is a switchmode power supply delivering 5V @ 3A from an input voltage of 7V - 32V.

New Micro Magician V2

The new improved Micro Magician V2 is here! It has all the features you loved in the original Micro Magician but with an ATmega328P and improved power supply. The new black and yellow PCB looks great and is easier to read.

You can now download the manual from here: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B__O096vyVYqUjNXVV9RMmFuNkk

Prototype animatronic head

Well my boss is involved in organizing a robot head building contest in China and asked me to make an example to inspire the contestants. I know many will just be made from cardboard and wood but I decided that if I was going to spend time on this project then I wanted to make the most of it and develop a new product.
