Very interesting work of making a robot learn about itself using gyro feedback and programming in rules based around this.

Looks like it would be a quicker way to program robots to do complex tasks perhaps...

Annual Online LMRobo-games!!!

What if somebody makes an annual robo-games for LMR members that is held online? just like Robotgrrl's robot party but with games and stuff e.g. online robot racing, online robot chess games(for those who do have chess playing robots, and connect them o the internet and play with other people), robot catwalk, coolest robot of the year...etc. and the prizes would be certificates that can be sent and print by the winner, or stuff that i don't know.

so, anyone interested in this kind of concept?

Driving a motor with solar cells (without a solar engine)

What I want to do is this: I have a basic bicore hooked up to a vibration motor.  He kind of flops around, but it isn't totally random.  Anyway, I was wondering how I could power him with some solar cells that I have without using a solar engine.  If that's possible, I would really like to hear some ideas.

infrared sensors

I've got two sets of phototransistors and infrared emitters put together to make two IR distance sensors. They are both connected in the same way, both powered by my Arduino Uno, both with the same resistor, etc. But when I check the values I'm getting from them, one of them ranges from about 980 - 1010, with the higher value closest to the sensor. The other, however, goes from about 350 - 570, with the higher value the furthest from the sensor.

I have started building a quadruped robot using Lynxmotion SES parts. I have the Lynxmotion quadruped body kit and 4 SES 3DOF legs. I have bought servos and put everything together. However, I'm much more comfortable with the code than with the mechanics.
