What does it do?

roams avoiding objects detected by IR sensors

This is my first. It's nearly out of the book, but i tweaked the logic a bit for reacting to left, right or both sensors triggering

I made this years ago and i just pulled it out of the box today and it still works! Well, i had to re-aim the IR emitters and sensors. It freaked my dog out. :P

What does it do?

It complete the requirementes asked in "The Chair Challenge II"

Hope it respect all parameters in the challenge:

"The Chair Challenge!"

Requirements:

Robot can be placed in any position and place operator prefers before start
Robot must then spin around it´s own center at least 10 times before step 3. (so we know it is actually navigating on it´s own)
Now the robot should try to drive around each of the 4 legs of a chair, like the orange arrow

What does it do?

Wander around at random, avoid running into things

Harry is my current project, and he's a work-in-progress. My first goal was to simply build a nice differential-drive mobile base for my Basic Stamp so that it could drive around on my carpeted floors. Now that that's done, I have to figure out something for him to do :) I may try to use this to attack the Chair Challenge.

What does it do?

Try to get a certain distance from an object

Herpe is a curious-yet-skittish-puppy-bot. What he's supposed to do is seek you out and drive up to you, but if he gets too close, he backs away in fear. In reality, his motor is too fast and his CPU (a Parallax Basic Stamp 2) is too slow, so he doesn't react fast enough to realize he's getting close to you until he's bumped into you.
