Picaxe 28X1 with Bluetooth Module?

I have been doing a little search around the net and havent found a clear answer if the Picaxe28X1 would interface with any bluetooth module and has anyone have tried interfacing with success? Any thoughts on this topic would be appreciated.

Discussion of object recognition with distance sensors

I would just like to open the floor to any thoughts on the code would take for a robot to do a sweep with a distance sensor and get an idea of what it was looking at overall. We have seen object recognition (edge finding) a couple different ways and code to send a bot to open areas. What I am wondering now is about checking distances at different points of the sweep and (here's the important thing) to figure out what it is looking at.

Micro engineering system LAB X-1

I have two LAB X-1 at home, i had them for like 6 months, and I didn't know what they were, anyway it turns out to be a serial PIC Devboard with LCD and ZIF sockets, I was just looking to get an AVR ISP (USBtinyISP), but I found these, do you know any free program and tutorial I could use with it ? That maybe a dumb question but again PIC or AVR ?

P.S. Sorry if I am in the wrong forum section, since I dont know anything about PIC / PICAXE

Picaxe 40X1 Pulsin and Pulsout

Hello. Anyone know how to use a pin on port C, say...c7 (leg 26) in order to get a pulsin or pulsout for the 40X1 picaxe? I know the syntax just to turn the pin high or low, but I don't know how to reference the pin when I use the pulsin command, for example what would go in the "pin" part of the PULSIN command:

PULSIN pin, state, wordvariable

Thanks in advance for any help you can give =)

Gabe

A word of caution about the Picaxe programming editor

Ugh, this took me forever and a day to figure out!

Everything was fine and dandy when I first installed the Picaxe programming editor, until it started to randomly crash.

I tried changing comports, reinstalling, even reinstalling the drivers (I thought it was a usb issue)

No, the program seems to take an issue with side scrolling.

I have a Dell laptop, and every time the horizontal scrolling was activated, the program would freeze my system, then about 30 seconds later, would crash.

Continuous Rotation Servo & Picaxe

Ok, so I finally got all my gear set up to build robot numero uno, but Im goin friggin nuts trying to control my continuous rotation servos from parallax. Im using a picaxe 18x to produce the code, but no matter what pulsout or servo commands I use, my servo's only go clockwise.I NEED them to be able to go counterclockwise for my differential drive train to work right. I have read every post on LMR about servos and have tried a lot. I have read their parallax data sheet and that they should respond based upon the pulse width, but no go.

V2 power

so I have a build your first bot part 2 and I have the power set up with about 5.5V on the far left pin grounded on the far right and to the battery clip about 3.8V (low batteries) for fun to see if I can get him running any better. I'm also trying to add arms in the nearby future so I thought it would be good to learn. THing is when I hook this up his servos go on crack and no even all the motors move. any suggestions?!

Hi Everyone

Can someone (frits I know you have done it) help me with the AXE031 sevo controller board. I've got it working based on the example in the instructions (http://www.rev-ed.co.uk/docs/axe031.pdf), but I can't figure out how to control the servo speed. Any chance of some sample code?

Thanks guys.

Ant
