Arduino IDE - what's wrong with versions 0019 onward?

OddBot's picture

Ever since the release of the new Arduino PCB's there have been at the time I wrote this 4 new versions of the IDE. As far as I can tell none of them work very well. All of my code is written on version 0018 and works fine. Open the same program in later versions such as version 0022 and you get an error when verifying the code.

Here is an example.

New Axepad for Linux Ubuntu users

The creators of Linux Axepad have created a .deb package for Ubuntu users. I was having issues with the other version off of rev-eds site. So far no issues with this one.

Once you have it installed you have to open a terminal and run "sudo linaxepad"

There seems to be a good ammount of people here from both the picaxe and arduino camps, im an arduino man myself and havent really played with any pic kits.

What id like to know is if there is any advantage with one over the other, or even any other alternatives?

Whats your preference on things?
