How do you connect a SRF005 to an Arduino MEGA 1280

I need help on connecting a srf005 (the blue one) to an Arduino MEGA 1280

You can use this image as a guide.

I want the connection for the srf005 using only three pins. :) (The one where you connect the mode pin to ground)

My first Arduino SHR

Hello LMRians. I'm now super exited as most of my robot parts have finally arrived!

These parts are going to be used for my first SHR. The brain, if you would like to know, is an Arduino-based microcontroller.

It is indeed the Ubotino Controller V3 and measures at a mouth-gaping (for me that is) 5 x 5 cm!

This board can be bought by our well known Ro-Bot-X at his online shop : http://robotxdesigns.ca/

My first hand written code.

I have just written my first code in Arduino IDE. The code should make a servo move to 180 degrees wait one second and then move back to 0 degrees and repeat.

Here it is :

Rom-Bot

I dismantled a cd drive from my old laptop yesterday, and found out that the plastic frame and insides were a pretty good chassis for a robot. It will have an LCD screen, use an IR sensor for not running into walls, and possibly some odds and ends here and there. Does anyone have any suggestions for some of the features that would be integrated into this robot? I am using a Picaxe 28x1.

So I've decided to build my first robot which not the LMR "start here" one (that one is going to be my second one) and im using this circuit- http://costaricabeam.solarbotics.net/Circuits/Vores/555%20Photovore.png . I've tried about 10 different designs for the body but its just not working. When i cover the left photocell with my hand and the other one is exposed to light the speed of the motors is the same and same with the right photocell. has anyone tried the circuit? did it work?

I know..a lot of you good folks could solder before you could walk and probably sleep with a soldering iron under your pillow (hope you remember to turn it off :), so here is this guy in his 30s bragging about his first circuit. Pathetic.

However soldering is a major challenge to me and actually the main reason I didn't get started with robotics years ago. It's just not easy for my unsteady hands. So I'm very happy to declare that I just finished my 1st working non-breadboard circuit. It's a motor+servo shield for my Arduino.

So i"m an advanced desktop/web apps programmer and MCTS WinDev so far, and I've done it all completely on my own.

 After a few weeks of research now I've realized I might be able to build a simple robot, I've already chosen my shop and products, my ideas are usually quite ambitious.
