Wiimote

Computer On Wheels Controller

Hi guys,

Since last week, I've been learning c++ and openFrameworks and creating a application to control any robot with a computer on it or, at least connected to one by someway.

It is supposed to be simple to implement and use.
You just need to run the application and program your robot to read the following chars and act corresponding to them:
  • 'w' to move forward;
  • 's' to mo
Enables you to draw in Virtual Air-space, or control things ie.Virtual Control Button Panel
I have been a fan of Johnny Chung Lees work with the Wiimote camera for a long time now .... ... (its always/always roaming in the back of my mind) .... during my … Read more

Wii Camera and Easy PCB Etch How-To

Well, I got sick of having a lappy as a middle-man between my wiimote and my robot (via bluetooth). I decided to remove the camera itself and go with on-board i2c instead of sending BT data back and forth. Now, I have seen a lot of great "adapters" to go from the fine pitch of the wiicamera pins to "standard" pin spacing, but I need not only to adapt the pins, but also a good way to mount the device to the pan and tilt mechanism I have on Walter. I decided to etch a PCB for the task using, I think, the easiest PCB etching process around. Period.

The "Lassiter" laser LIDAR Ranging Gadget (Wiimote/Propeller)

Introducing the "Lassiter" , an inexpensive laser LIDAR Ranging Gadget (Wiimote/Propeller based)

I have been troubled for a while Re:- Laser experiment It required a Bluetoth connection to a pc for it to work.....

..... now i have removed this "MiddleMan", all can be done with a simple parallax propeller system ....YaY

What you see here is my first successful setup :-

This is one of the main part for my contribution of the LMR Dagu contest. It looks like a small camera and yes indeed it is a camera. But this camera didn't give you a video or picture output. Mhhm, than it must be defect you may think.
