Good Pan/Tilt Code (Code example included)

I recently did a small consulting gig and built a one-off robot for a customer. The gig included the hardware but also the client needed some example code to get himself up and running a bit quicker. This turned out to be a great oportunity for me to sit down and clean-up some code that I have been using for years, in this case, my pan and tilt code...

Dagu Rover 5 2WD + 2Encoders + PCB + Arduino Mega + Pan & Tilt with IR

Hi All, As a complete novice at this I thought it would be a great idea to get a Dagu Rover 5 with the addons for the kids at school and start up a club to program it. How wrong I was! I am in need of some serious help guys... I've managed to plug everything in, the 2 motors and encoders on the underside of the PCB board and have chosen not to use the 6xAA battery pack (9V) in favour of a single 9V battery (fits better under the PCB with all the cables). Problem number 1 is this: I think I am plugging in the black and red cables into the PCB in the correct locations - on the top
This is my second puppy robot and the first to use a QuadBot kit. The robot is quite simple, just a pan / tilt kit mounted on a QuadBot chassis with DAGU's new … Read more

Advice on building a pan/tilt robot arm

Hello LMR folks,

I am in need of some advice over a robot project I plan to build. I have a small amount of experience with using an Arduino, soldering and general circuit making, but I've never used motors yet.

What I plan to do is to have a "robot arm" attached to the ceiling with a camera at the end of it. The arm need to be able to rotate the camera around and depending on some conditions tilt it at different angles.

Polymorphing a Webcam

Today I decided that my Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX webcam needs upgrades. I got the camera, some polymorph, plumber's tape, hot glue and couple of servos. Let's see what we get when we put those together.

Ooops! I forgot to take a picture of the original camera. If you have never seen a Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX webcam there's some pictures of it at least here. There's might be some pics at Logitech site too but since this is a discontinued model they could be hard to find.

it moves a webcam up and down and right and left.
Well i made this one for a friend . He has a laptop with a broken display but the embedded webcam works fine so he asked me to build a pan-tilt mechanism for this … Read more
I decided to build a pan/tilt mount using the DAGU parts I recently received. I did have a little trouble, but overall I'm pleased with the result.  You may notice … Read more
