clock

Sorry this isn't really a robot related question, just an electronics one.

I was cruising through a local electronics shop. They have lots of salvaged parts. They had a whole box of old 4 digit LED clock displays. Since they were only about $3, I picked one up. My son wanted to build a clock.

After working through all the connections, here's the schematic.

Is this true? I am a total newb on the 08M, so the manual is full of surprises to me.

It states: "The servo command will function correctly at 4MHz on all parts (except X2, which only function at 8 or 32MHz).  16MHz  is also supported on X1 parts. No other frequency will work correctly".

Does that mean that I will have to underclock my 08M from 8 MHz to 4 MHz in order to use the servo command?

I am having problem with I2C mode of 16f877a. I wrote a code for I2C ranging mode of the SRF02 sensors. At first I thought the problem was with the code, but then I debugged the circuit a little; the code is as below:

for the alarm clock syntax
