Problem with connecting the IR sensor

I am trying to connect the IR sensor from the tutorial to the project board. However my wires are messed up. In the picture that comes with the tutorial:

The red wire on the left side of the sensor goes into the outermost pin, the middle black wire goes into the innermost pin and the right white wire goes into the middle.

IR vs Ultrasonic Sensor

I have used ultrasonic sensors in the past. However, i have noticed they have a wide arc of vision. I want very precise sensor readings for my new project, and I was curious as to the pros and cons for either sensor option, or something else. I am mainly looking for affordablilty and precision.

WiFinder Robot

I'm making a WiFinder robot and I am having some trouble with my arduino code.

I want to be able to set the robot to a wifi network and have it follow the strongest wifi signal. I plan to have edge detection for stairs and distance from wall sensing. I am having trouble finding the code to be able to get the WiFly to send its signal strength to the arduino, and then converting it to an integer. I know that the the wifly will respond to the command "show rssi" with the signal strength. please help

Arduino and Stand Alone Wii IR Sensor

Hey everybody, I am looking for help with this project: http://letsmakerobots.com/node/7752

I need to make a device for a school project that detects IR position for a PC mouse but that incoporates a
microcontroller, so this project seems like a good start.

I have already built the voltage regulating circuit, removed the IR sensor and attached it to the circuit. All
voltages seem to be at desired values.

Setting up a QRB1134?

Does anyone know how to set up one of these things:

I can't seem to get it working.

Someone made a quick "tutorial" on LMR but I just don't get it.

I found a diagram here that just doesn't make sense. The wire colors are all messed up.

Then I found this:
