Do you have a 3D printer?

OR

Interested in getting prints done, but have no printer?

Let's help each other printing more stuff :)

There may be a 3D printer or someone who'd like to pay for a print close to you..

Kinect and wheeled versions under development

We were pointed out that tracked version might have problems on thick carpet or wet tiles. That is why we want to try the wheeled version and compare the performance on different surfaces. Any thoughts whether it will drive better then tracked version? Some pros/cons of wheels vs. tracks?

3D printing with sand

Cool video about 3D printing with sand.

3D Printed Logobot?

I haven't jumped onto the 3D printing bandwagon yet, but I know a lot of you have.

I was thinking, wouldn't it be super cool to have a 3D printable version of our beloved Logobot?

It would be a fun project, and a great little printed object to test your printers, give as gifts, or make up for events like Maker Faire.

Design of 3D printed enclosure - first printout

Here is a quick update related to this post about 3D printed robot enclosure.

Two videos below illustrate the goal - how it will looks like soon :-). And here is the first step into this direction - my first 3D-printed part of the enclosure shown in the video. Took me about the whole week from receiving the packet with Ultimaker kit till the first reasonable printout came out :-) .

Recycling Bin with Rapid Prototyper

What if you put your PET waste into the 3D printer instead of the recycling bag?

Is that possible?

Can we outline what is nessessary to build this machine? And why it is not available yet?

Got $1299,- to spare?

Then I would recomend that you have a look at the MakerBot Thing-O-Matic 3D printer http://www.makerbot.com/

With my 50 birthday coming up, my family chipped in and got me one of those fabulous machines. And I must admit that I’m totally blown away by the quality of the print and the robustness of the ABS plastic parts that is printed.

SSS - Servo Suspension System

This is my first experiment with the MakerBot. I am totally thrilled with this machine!!!

SSS (servo suspension system) is designed to support standard servo motors and act as a basic suspension. It is still a work in progress and has not been tested yet.

Will update results as soon as possible (still waiting to have my lab back).

I would like to know everyone's opinion on this  :)
