Arduino Xbee shield problem

I am trying to communicate between 2 arduinos using 2 xbee shields. I am trying to configure the Xbee shield with PAN ID, address etc. I am using X-CTU utility on a windows 7 64 bit operating system. I am able to configure one of the XBee modules with all the necessary parameters. I am not able to repeat the same for the other module.

XBee interference issues, looking for substitutes

lex lee's picture

Hi all,

I'm building a robot which is currently wirelessly connected via XBee Pro and has an onboard 2.4 GHz pin hole camera.

The problem is that the XBee's signal is often degraded when the camera is working.

I've tried out the codes using a wired connection and all is good.

Thus, I'm looking for a wireless replacement for connecting the robot to the PC. Any suggestions are welcomed :)

About wild thumper robot controller with XBee

Not sure if anyone done this before and I couldn't find anyone actually connect this controller with XBee. Does anyone know the proper way to connect XBee? D0 & D1 won't interfere with anything else?

Ok, so I'm working on a plan to bring my little brother's little Niko RC car (you know, these models that suddenly break down for no reason at all after three charges) back to life. The plan is:

  1. Yank out old electronics (fun job, done ^^)
  2. Test steering servo and current draw of drive motor
  3. Build new electronics

Step 2 will be done by tonight but I have a few hickups on step three.

Chess Engine Update 4/3/11

Well by luck I happened to find some one elses chess robot in one of the instructables contest. He was using Apple script to communicate with a terminal chess engine. That is about as much as I read into his project when I was like "Apple script?"

Using An Xbee With I-Phone?

Browsing through sparkfun I found an ipod connector breakout board and a pin-out diagram. It appears to be that the ipod/phone have serial rx and tx pins. It also has the usual ground connectors and a 3.3v supply.

Would these pins be enough to hook up an xbee module?

MY AGV development platform

arbarnhart's picture

I decided to do this as a blog as I plan for this to be a long term test platform as I mess around with different tech along the way.

OK I started by buying this RC truck chassis on eBay:

It uses a 7.2v NiMH battery and powers the motor using an ESC that delivers a few AMPs of 6v through a BEC to power a transceiver and the steering servo. Instead of a transceiver, I am hooking up an Arduino Fio and various components, housing them in a project box:

XBee AT/API Reliability

lex lee's picture

Hi all, I'm trying to control 4 servos with 4 pot via xbee, setup as follows:

Tx: Arduino connected to 4 pots(pins 0-3) & XBee (Series 2.5)

Rx: Arduino connected to 4 servos (pins 5, 6, 10, 11) & XBee (Series 2.5)

The Tx side will map the pot values (0-180) and send them over to Rx.

I've setup the XBees in AT Mode using guibot's tutorial but the order of the 4 values @ the Rx end jumbles up at times.

Xbees and rf modules

CaptainTuna's picture

Hello guys.

I was thinking about buying a few xbees for my lasertag project but since they're a bit costly i wanted to ask you if it fits my project before buying them.

I'll tell you what i want to to: basically lasertag is a game where there are lots of players that "shoot" at each other with IR pulses. What i wanted to add to it is some sort of "hit feedback", something, be it sound or LED, that tells me whether or not i have succesfully hit my target.
