Doodle bot not connecting

I recently purchased the DAGU kit for the Doodle bot. I set it all up as per the instructions and uploaded the sample text. I am a beginner and was hoping to use this simple kit to learn the basics of how all the components work and are programmed. Originally I was unable to get the robot to work properly, the right motor would spin continuously and the left was not responding (I checked, both motors were fine though).

However, now I am unable to upload the sketch to the controller. I get the following error:

(Solved!) Low current from Arduino Output (Arduino Start Here robot)

EDIT: LED problem solved thanks to RobotFreak. I forgot to set the pins to output mode using the pinMode command. As RobotFreak points out, the Arduino sets all pins as inputs by default. I added a For loop to set all the pins to outputs, and everything worked great.

void setup() {
  pinMode(13, OUTPUT);
  for (int pinindex = 0; pinindex < 14; pinindex++) {
     pinMode(pinindex, OUTPUT);  // set pins 0 to 13 as outputs
  }

AXE 045 RGB sensor

HI,

 Does anyone around here have any experience with the AXE045 RGB-sensor from Picaxe? I connected it to my Picaxe 28X1 microcontroller and I am only able to get readings from about max 40 for red and blue, green only gets to one or, if I shine directly into the lens with a flashlight, up to 9.

 Any help?

Greetz,
