C# To Arduino Programming

Good morning LMRian's.

I have purchased my very first Arduino (Uno), and am trying to find a simple "blink" tutorial to use C# (Visual Studio 2012) to the Arduino onboard LED.

Can anyone please recommend any links?

Serial Com. the right way?

Hi Guys.

Ive been using alot of UART communication between my panda II and bluetooth, and from pc, vice versa.

But always pretty simple things, like sending a text. waiting for it, then maybe reply back..

But i just started on a small robot project, and i control my servos via bluetooth from my computer. (Virtual serial port, to my itead BT shield).

And i just send text commands like "up" "down" "left" "right" "stop" to control my servos.

but i now plan to add a ultra sound range finder (Paralax "Ping)))").

Lego Mindstorm C# USB

Hi there,

I have a quesiton to those of you who are familiar with Lego Mindstorms NXT brick and also C#

How can I transfer a robot C file I have created to the brick, via USB, using C#?

You don't have to give me code just point me in the right direction

Thanks

Harvey

building robot map

iam using c#.and i have robot and some sensors.

i want to build map based in sensors info.

my problem is i can't find tool to help me build this map..

actually i want occupancy grid which is used for this purpose..or any grid cells to draw this map.

any one can help me in that.

I REALLY like my FEZ Panda II !!!!

Soooooo, I got my new FEZ Panda II and I thought I might like it. I was right, I really do!

Basically, this Arduino sized board (compatible with some Arduino shields) is like the "FEZ Mini" on steroids! One of the many great things this board has is almost all the processor pins broken out to connectors that accept wires or shield pins. Other great items are a Micro-SD drive and a realtime clock. I did a firmware update without a problem. FEZ Mini programs are running just fine with an update to Panda II libraries.

I really like my FEZ Mini Robot.

I am totally ejoying my FEZ Mini Robot! I thought the C# code might be hard for me but I am really starting to like that language. It is a "shift" in ones thinking about writing a good program. Now I am sure I would "mix some things up" if I went back to programming on a Arduino.

No fears mate about the C# code running on the FEZ Mini, it works just fine. The build/deploy/debug procedure works, but it still holds a lot of secrets. (The FEZ Mini board sends back "Rebooting..." like your device is acting like small computer!)

Programming in C#

In the programming section for getting started, I see a programming language using a ton of GOTOs.

Is it possible to program robots in C#? Something that has classes so you can have more complex programs and good object-oriented design?

It seems like using a procedural programming language is teaching bad habits.

Also the forums have an encoding problem where you can't search for 'C#'. It url encodes the C# and forgets to decode it.
